Discussion/Action Items
Hispanic Community
     ·    A list of the new marketing initiatives expenses was distributed.
     ·    The suggested ad for the August and September issues of La Vida Hispana was distributed.  The October and November issues could highlight the Fox Cities Book Festival or Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos).  A program could feature the movie Coco or have a Day of the Dead Parade.
     ·    The committee would like to invite Librarian Ana Maria Acosta to the next meeting to talk about Casa Hispana.
     ·    Lenz will put together a survey for those that attend the Bilingual Storytime asking how they heard about the program, if they liked what they experienced, how the program could be improved and how we can help impact their family.
     ·    At the next meeting, Lenz will report on how many books were purchased for Banta Elementary, how many were given out and how many have come into the library for their Dilly Bar coupon.
     ·    Information about the library could be given to places such as churches that have services in Spanish and the Menasha Health Department.  A display table with library information could be also set up at elementary schools during Parent Teacher Conferences and registration.
     ·    Other libraries that have a Hispanic population should be contacted to see what programs or services they offer.
     ·    Hermans will report on Reforma (The National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking) at the next meeting.

Influential Community
     ·    A list of influential people has been started to raise awareness of what the library is doing.  In the future, these people could be contacted to help raise money for specific projects.
     ·    Witt and Lenz will work on an informational piece to mail out in fall and present during the budget hearing.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 4:45pm

Motion made by Witt, seconded by Halverson to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously.

Adjournment
Meeting adjourned at 5:49pm.
