The award-winning Elisha D. Smith Public Library in Menasha seeks an innovative and creative librarian with a passion for life-long learning to join its Community Engagement team. This position will primarily focus on youth but will work with community members from all generations. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and executing hands-on library programs and working in, and developing curriculum for, library makerspaces.

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team that develops programming across all age groups, seeks out community partnerships, and develops the library’s collections and services. Work includes staffing service desks, answering patron questions in-person, on the phone, and text. Helping patrons with their technology needs. Success in this position requires dedication to meeting the varied needs of our community members, sound judgement, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and the ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.

This position is full-time requiring regular nights and weekends. A master’s degree in library science or equivalent education and experience is required. The starting wage is $52,500 per year and includes a generous benefits package. Applications are due by November 1, 2021.
