RETREAT MEETING MINUTES

Children’s Story Room
February 5, 2023
Called to order at 1:08pm by Chair Halverson
Present: Chair Halverson, Secretary Lane, Trustee Franzoi, Trustee Golz, Trustee Stojanovic, Trustee Turner, Superintendent of Schools VanderHeyden, Trustee Witt
Absent: Trustee Eisenach and Teen Rep. E. Lane
Also Present: A. Hammond, Director Kopetsky and Business Manager Dreyer

Planning Process
- Trustees reviewed the Facility Master Plan from EUA that included a 3D conceptual design of the 1st floor, a rendering of the 1st floor, a rendering of the entrance, design of the lower level and a design of the 2nd floor. There was a discussion of areas that could be modified.
- The cost estimate from Miron Construction was reviewed.
- Kopetsky will provide an update to the mayor.
- Turner will help develop a pitch deck for potential donors.
- Trustees would like Kopetsky to focus on this process.
Franzoi left the meeting at 2:50pm
Strategic Plan
- Trustees reviewed the 2019-2023 Library Strategic Plan and what we have accomplished. COVID did have an impact on some of the results. Sometime this year, we will need to develop a strategic plan for the next 5 years.
Our next Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 4:00pm.
