During this time of celebration of St. Patrick's Day, enjoy some titles available at the library about Ireland and the Irish.

Matsuri, Doll Day/Girl's Day in Japan. Students from the Menasha School District Japanese language program, with teacher Lynn Sessler and visiting Japanese student Saki Tatsuda, showed the children how to do simple origami, games, and crafts. Amy Bertram demonstrated how to make an origami kimono craft. We
put our many Japanese dolls into our display case, and then we had treats of green tea and rice cakes. This enjoyable program has become a tradition at the library.

We've added a couple of great new titles to our magazine collection in 2010, including CardMaker, Cooking with Paula Deen, Fit Pregnancy, and Outside. 

Even if you aren't planning to fly anytime soon, you can enjoy NPR's list of "smart, breezy paperbacks." 

If you like books that are escapist and great reads, but that are still intelligent, this is the list for you.
