The 2017 Fox Cities Book Festival runs from October 9 through October 15.  Authors will appear at multiple venues around the Fox Cities.

The Elisha D. Smith Public Library is honored to host:

Sunday, October 15, at 1:30pm
Douglas Haynes - EVERY DAY WE LIVE IS THE FUTURE & THE CRAFT OF NARRATIVE NONFICTION
When she was only nine, Dayani Baldelomar left her Nicaraguan village with nothing more than a change of clothes. Her neighbor, Yadira Castellón, also migrated from the mountains. Driven by hope for a better future for their children, Dayani and Yadira invent jobs in Managua’s spreading markets and dumps.

Others appearing at the Menasha library are:

Sunday, October 15, at 3:00pm
Benjamin Ludwig -- GINNY MOON – THE DJINN IN MY BOTTLE
Ginny’s voice came to me in a mysterious way, one that I’m still trying to comprehend.  In this talk we’ll explore the nature of voice, narration, and the quiet but calculating moves of the subconscious.

All programs at the Elisha D. Smith Public Library are free and for everyone.  Those with special needs are encouraged to call the library office at 920.967.3662 within 24 hours of an event to assure that specific needs with regards to parking, building and meeting room accessibility are met.
