We're celebrating National Library Week with Food for Fines.
We will accept food for fines during National Library Week, April 9 through April 15. Bring non-perishable food items to the library's Circulation Desk. The food will go to the Double Portion Soup Kitchen in Menasha.
Generally, a dollar's worth of food will pay off two dollars in fines. This does not apply to lost or damaged library materials. (If it is difficult for you to pay for those, please come in and speak with us.)
This year National Library Week will be observed from April 9 through April15 with the theme Libraries Transform. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
