During the month of May, the Children's Room hosts a special story time celebrating the season of Spring! This year at Preschool Planters Story Time, we talked about stems and sticks, leaves, and flowers. During story time, we read books about each theme and danced to some Jim Gill music. After story time we enjoyed activities that followed our theme. The first week we drew flowers on stems, the second week we create tree pictures from torn paper, and the final week we planted our secret garden. The seeds were planted on May 19, so they will take some time to grow from seed to stem to flower. Be sure to check back and see how big the flowers grow during the Summer!
Thank you for joining us this Spring for Preschool Planters! Our next story time series runs during the Fizz Boom Read Summer Library Program. Mark your calendars for Mondays at 10am from June 9 to July 28. Sign-up for Fizz Boom Read also begins on June 9! We can't wait to see you at the library!
If you were not able to attend this year's Preschool Planters Story Time, here is an activity page you can use to create your own story time adventure.
