The Children's Room celebrated this traditional Japanese festival with a program this week.
Hina Matsuri, or Girl's Day/Doll's Day is a traditional Japanese holiday. The Children's Room hosted a program to help celebrate this festival on Wednesday afternoon. Some of our library friends joined us for activities like origami paper folding before gathering together to place our collection of Japanese dolls in our display case. Check out all of their good work on our library Flickr page ! The Japanese dolls will remain on display for the month of March so make sure to drop by and check them out!
Join us for more library fun in the Children's Room with a Splat the Cat party for preschoolers on Friday March 7th at 10am, family story time on Monday March 10th at 10am and 6:30pm or Tuesday March 11th at 10am, and a Princess Academy party on Tuesday March 11th at 6:30pm. See you soon!
