In 2010, Wisconsin adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English language arts and mathmatics. These standards are designed to ensure that every student leaves school with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in college and the workplace. For more information about the standards themselves and how they were adopted, visit the Wisconsin Department of Instruction's website .
The library has always been a source of quality materials & information for teachers and educators, and we will continue to provide these materials to assist educators when implementing these standards in the classroom. This page will have links to resources, booklists, and websites around the internet geared toward the CCSS. Educators are always welcome to visit us in person as well for assistance and suggestions when looking for materials to use in the classroom.
