D. Fundraising Ideas
A list of fundraising ideas made by the committee earlier in the year was reviewed.
E. Established tiers of fundraising
The committee established that they would like to continue with the million pennies project and do another letter campaign asking past contributors to donate to the library’s endowment at the end of the year. They agreed to further investigate having a library night at a local restaurant, selling Stevi B’s coupons at library desks, and collecting aluminum cans. They liked the concept of a murder mystery night at the library, but decided to focus on those first ideas for now.
Lenz will contact Aspen Landing to see if they would be willing to hold a library family night and possibly work together on a Fresh Market project next year. Crawmer will follow up with Stevi B’s on selling coupons. Kiley agreed to speak with local recycling facilities about aluminum can collection; Lenz will talk to Building Supervisor Adam Alix about can collection.
F. Fundraising Letters
Crawmer is working on a letter thanking past donors and another requesting donations.
G. A Million Pennies
Crawmer will meet with the Menasha High School principal to discuss collaborating on the million pennies project.
The committee agreed to meet again on Thursday, November 7, at 3:45 p.m. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 4:30 p.m. by Kiley and seconded by Crawmer. Motion carried.
