Baa, baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, 3 bags full!
We read all about one of Dewey the Dragon's favorite animals this week - sheep! Sheep have thick curly wool that can be white or black, make "baa!" noises, and sometimes counting sheep at night can help you fall asleep! Our books this week included Lots of Lambs by Laura Numeroff , Mary Had a Little Lamb by Kate Willis-Crowley, One Little Lamb by Elaine Greenstein , and a flannel board version of Ten Sleepy Sheep by Holly Keller . We practiced our singing a whole bunch this week with a few verses of Mary Had a Little Lamb as well as Baa Baa Black Sheep before making some paper sheep collages with torn paper & glue.
More story time will contine next week with Miss Liz on Monday at 10am & 6:30pm and with Miss Pippi at 10am on Tuesday. We'll also be starting our 3-week series of Baby Stay and Play story times next Tuesday evening at 6pm. No registration is required, babies from birth-24 months & their caregivers are welcome to join us for any of the sessions (March 12th, 19th, & 26th). See you soon!
