Last Saturday the Elisha D. Smith Public Library celebrated with a Multicultural Festival. The day started with special story time guests in the Story  Room! Camille Solberg from Oshkosh came up to share stories in Spanish. She read My  Colors, My World / Mis colores, mi mundo [3] and I am Latino: the Beauty in Me [4]. Following Ms. Camille, Police Chief Styka shared three stories: one originally published in France, [5] one about a tricky Coyote from the American Southwest [6]and a Russian folk tale. [7] Mayor Merkes also stopped in to share some stories from around the world. He read books about a gift-giving rabbit from China, [8] a  tricky sheep living in Mexico [9], and an unknown creature who camped out in Rabbit's house. [10] World traveler Syse Timmerman wrapped up our special story time session with books from her travels around the world!

Thank you to our story time guests! It was so wonderful to hear your stories from around the world!
