Children ages three to ten are invited to join a special buggy summer reading program, "Catch the Reading Bug". Children can register June 9-mid July for the self-paced program which runs for ten weeks (until August 15).
At registration, children pick up an activity bookmark to take home. The bookmark helps kids keep track of reading, writing, games played at home and at the library, participation in outdoor events, programs attended at the library and much more. Once a bookmark is completed, kids return to the library to pick up another bookmark and a small surprise. Each child can complete up to ten bookmarks over the course of the ten week program. All kids who complete at least six bookmarks will receive a brand new book between August 15 and August 29.
The program encourages kids to enjoy their summer through reading, playing and participating in activities that build imaginations and healthy bodies. For details, please stop in or call the Children's Dept. at 967-3670.
And for teens and adult reading program fun, please stop at the Adult Information desk for information and to register!
