Hello library friends! We had another Monday full of stories, songs and rhymes with our friend Dewey here in the Children's Room! This week, we read all about hunting for nuts, the best way to gather acorns and then forget where you hid those acorns, and even how to rescue your little brother from the mighty autumn wind! We sang about leaves that change their color and even played a guessing game with fall-related things like a rake, pumpkin, and a squirrell! After our story time, we made fall streamers with crepe paper and cut-outs of apples, leaves, and pumpkins to hang around the house! If you're looking for more fall-ish stories to share, check out Waiting For Winter by Sebastian Meschenmoser, Earl the Squirrel by Don Freeman, Leaves by David Ezra Stein, and Erroll by Hannah Shaw.
