Pippi's Printing Picks

Visiting schools and students is so much fun! I love sharing books with the boys and girls I meet. Some of my books I shared this month included...

The 43 Old Cemetery Road series by Kate Klise illustrated by M. Sarah Klise

#1: Dying to Meet You and #2: Over My Dead Body

These books are written through letters, illustrations, newspapers and more! The author includes play on words that are sure to please. It's a gentle and fun ghost story that I can't wait to read another from the Klise duo.

The Library of Doom series from Zone Books by Michael Dahl

The Library of Doom is the world's largest collection of strange and dangerous books. The Librarian's duty is to keep the books from falling into the hands of those who would use them for evil purposes. Evil books!? How grand! How chilling! You can do it, Librarian! Michael Dahl wrote an easy reader series with hints of mischief, madness and horror. Here is a listing of the current books in the Library of Doom series.

Other books that caught my interest include...

Well Witched by Frances Hardinge

Well Witched is for independent readers who like adventure, magic, dreams and a scary story. It begins when one from the trio of friends jumps down a well to find some spare change. They use the change to ride the bus home. Soon, the friends discover they have inherited strange powers from the well Witch!

Any Which Wall by Laurel Snyder

It's a dream come true! Four friends find a wall that will take them any where - in their city or in history. What adventures can they find as they travel through space and time?
