Celebrate National Library Week (April 13-19) in the Children's Dept with a weeklong schedule of fun informational programs for children and families.

Rappin' and Rhymin'

Children and families are invited to this program where easy rhymes, raps, poems and silly songs to tickle funny bones will be shared. Participants will create a giant poem together and families can write a poem on a leaf and help us decorate our giant Poet-tree. Each participant will also take home a "Pocket Poem" to use during "National Poem in Your Pocket Day" which is celebrated on April 17.

This special event, which also celebrates National Poetry Month, is free. For additional information on this unregistered program, please contact the Children's Department at 967-3670.
