Celebrate National Library Week (April 13-19) in the Children's Dept with a weeklong schedule of fun informational programs for children and families.
Read to a Dog
Families can make fifteen-minute appointments to have a child in grades K-5 read to a therapy dog. A furry canine will listen patiently as children read aloud to them in a relaxed environment designed to help improve reading skills and confidence in children.
Children in Grades K-5 who wish to read to a dog can call 967-3670 to schedule a fifteen-minute session. For additional information, contact the Children's Department at 967-3670.
