Children's Author Coming to Menasha!
Rick Chrustowski will do a presentation for the public as part of an Earth Day celebration at the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve.
Chrustowski, a Wisconsin author (http://www.rickchrustowski.com/), is the writer and illustrator of a number of science picture books for children. He uses dramatic close-ups to give children a memorable look into the life cycle of creatures common to our area. His books, written for children ages 4-8, are well reviewed and found in libraries, schools and bookstores throughout the country. Children can explore many literacies - nature, ecology and reading - just by turning the colorful pages and engaging in Mr. Chrustowksi's wonderful writing style
The event will include an author signing with books available to purchase at the event. This event is co-sponsored by the library, the Menasha School District and the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve. This project is sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Fox Cities and the Wisconsin Center for the Book, an affiliate of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters and the Center for the Book at the Library of Congress.
