Honor our veterans at a ceremony in front of the library, next to the Veterans Monument.
VFW Post 2126 once again will be here with the color guard, songs performed by St. Mary Grade School students, and, the sounding of taps by a local bugler. Please consider joining Steve Conto in the Miron Fireplace Room immediately following the cermeony for the presentation of his project, The Final Bridge, locating the exact burial location of those individuals from Wisconsin who were killed in the Vietnam War.
In case of rain, the ceremony will be in the library's lower level Company E Room, which is named for a valiant company of men from Menasha who volunteered to fight in World War I.
Also, take time to view the foyer display case which will feature the re-dedication of the Isle of Valor and mention of the recent Honor Flight from the Fox Cities to Washington, D.C. so that veterans of the Korean War could view that special memorial.
If you have questions regarding the ceremony, please contact Commander Dave Mix at 725-2368, or, email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All library events are free and open to everyone. Those with special needs are encouraged to call the library office at 967-3662, within 24 hours of the event, to assure that specific needs with regards to parking, building and meeting room accessibility are met.
