Story Sparklers: Ants

The ants went marching in this week's family story time!

This week's featured underground animal was, you guessed it, the ant!  We learned that ants are very strong - strong enough to lift a ladybug but not strong enough to lift us!  We practiced counting ants and read some silly ant stories as well.  Our books included Ants by Trudi Strain Trueit, One Hundred Hungry Ants by Elinor Pinczes, Alfred Digs by Lindsay Barrett George, and Underground by Denise Fleming.  After story time, we made fingerprint ant artwork to take home.

Thanks for joining us this week!  Story Sparklers family story time continues next week Monday July 22 at 10am in the Children's Room.  In the meantime, join us tomorrow, Wednesday July 17 at 1:30 for our Gnomes, Elves, and Fairy party.  See you soon!
