Library Fun with Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones fans of all ages joined us Wednesday in the Children's Room for some adventurous fun.

We read about Indy's crazy (and sometimes dangerous!) adventures before sending our library friends off on a scavenger hunt.  Kids used the Dewey Decimal system to help decode clues leading them through the Children's Room until they found the hidden treasure!  After making their discovery, kids moved on to make their own treasure bags, modeled after the bag Indy wears on all of his adventures.  They also got a chance to test their geography skills with a map matching game that detailed Indy's travels as well as a character matching game to test their knowledge of the movies!

We have lots of adventure stories here at the library in case you missed our program - stop in to check a few out!  We'll be back next week with more summer reading fun including Story Sparklers story time Monday July 15th at 10am and our Elves, Gnomes and Fairies party next Wednesday July 17th at 1:30pm.  See you soon!
