Friday night was a special family night at the library!
The Children's Room hosted their very first "Night at the Library" program last Friday night! Families gathered in the lobby and once the library was closed, Miss Pippi & I (Miss Liz) led tour groups around the library on a special behind-the-scenes tour where we met some special friends like Princess Leia, the Mad Hatter, a couple friendly witches, and some Hogwarts professors! At each stop, there were games and activities with some little prizes. After completing our tour, we ended downstairs in the Co. E room for some prize drawings and a treat. We had a great evening - check out our Flickr page for photos of the event.
A special thanks to Mayor Don Merkes and our volunteers for helping make this event possible! Our summer reading programming continues this week with our "If You Give a Kid a Book" party on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm in the Children's Room - see you soon!
