Earth Day Stories

We love our Earth!

We celebrated Earth Day on Monday here in the Children's Room with a special story time in honor of our home planet, Earth.  We learned all about what it means to grow up green & all the different ways we can help take care of our earth.  Instead of driving our car everywhere, we can try walking, riding our bike, or rollerblading places!  We also learned that planting trees is a great way to help the earth out!  Trees give us shade, food, and help take harmful carbon dioxide out of the air.  We even read about a bear who loved trees so much he hugged every one he met!  After story time, we all made our very own test tube planters with sunflower seeds inside!

For more spring story time fun, be sure to come visit the Children's Room Monday April 30th at 10am for our annual Let's Grow Garden Stories story time series with Miss Pippi
