History at Your Fingertips

Recently, the United Stated hosted a census to take a snapshot of life in America. The census was in 2010. On April 2nd, the US National Archives released the 1940 census records! They are available online with the help of Archives.com. It can be a little daunting to jump right into the middle of 3.8 million images, scanned from over 4,000 rolls of microfilm. If you're not ready to jump into the 1940's, head over to the PBSKids and enjoy some classic Mister Rodger's Neighborhood videos. Fred Rodgers produced videos between 1968 and 2001. PBSKids has entire episodes, shorts on how things are made, songs, fieldtrips and more! Parent Teacher guides can also be excessed from the PBS website.
