Passport to Nature Author Event

Author and illustrator Rick Chrustowski talks about his book Big Brown Bat and his other nature books.

In cooperation with other Fox Valley libraries, Nature Centers and area Parks & Recreation Departments,  Menasha Public Library Children’s Department plans to continue the summer program, Fox Cities Passport to Nature as part of our Dream Big, Read! summer program.  The program runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.  Children will be able to pick up a passport at our library free of charge. The passports will invite families to nine Fox Valley outdoor sites including parks, trails, and nature centers.  When families complete each visit, they will receive a shrinky dink from staff members. After at least three sites have been visited and three shrinky dinks awarded, passports can be turned in at any of the outdoor nature centers for a “Passport to Nature” pin.
