A Visit with Aves Wildlife Alliance Raptors

Last night we had a visit from the Aves Wildlife Alliance!

Over 100 library friends gathered in the Co. E room to learn about the feathered creatures that live right here in Wisconsin!  Bekah from the Aves Wildlife Alliance taught us all about the amazing characteristics and adaptations that birds have - she also brought 3 live raptors for us to meet!  We were introduced to Screamer the sparrow hawk, Luna the barred owl, and Cyrus the falcon!  We had a great time celebrating our Paws to Read winter reading program with the  Aves Wildlife Alliance - for more snapshots from the program check out the library Flickr page.  For more information about Aves and their work, check out their Facebook page

Stay tuned for more Paws to Read fun - next Tuesday, Feb. 7th at 6:30pm we'll be hosting the Hudson Street Rhythm Band!
