Star Wars Fun!

We kicked off our "Paws to Read" Winter Reading Program with a Star Wars party last night in the Children's Room!

Over 90 of our library friends came to celebrate all things Star Wars!  We read all about the adventures of Luke Skywalker and friends as they saved the galaxy from the Empire.  Then everyone got to try out all different kinds of crafts and activities like Flight Training on the Millenium Falcon (making post-it paper airplanes) and Defeating the Death Star (throwing their paper airplanes at a hole in the Death Star), making origami Yodas, decorating planets to add to put on our galactic poster, and playing pin the lightsaber on Yoda!  We had a great time - we hope you did too!

There's still time to join the "Paws to Read" Winter Reading Program - just stop in at the Children's Info Desk to pick up a booklet!   Next week we'll be hosting the Soda Pups on Tuesday Jan. 24 at 6:30pm for our next free "Paws to Read" event!  If you have any questions, give us a call at 967-3670!  See you next week!
