Superheroes @ the Library!

On Tuesday evening, the Children's Room hosted a superhero party for kids in K-5th grade.

We had so much fun together!  Kids came dressed as their favorite superhero and we started off the evening with a reading of Eliot Jones Midnight Superhero by Anne Cottringer.  Then kids got to go through our obstacle course and test out their superhero skills by finding their way through the tape "laser grid" and jumping through the maze of cardboard box "buildings".  Superheroes need a  mask, so kids got to make their own superhero masks to wear.  They also got to make tootsie pop superheroes to take home and enjoy.  The evening wasn't complete without some coloring pages and a root beer float to enjoy!

Check out our Flickr page for fun snapshots and be sure to come into the Children's Room next Tuesday night, September 27, for our pirate party from 6:30-7:15pm.

We're open:
