Hey library friends! Guess what day it is - today is the birthday of a beloved children's book author who may have written something about some green eggs and ham...that's right, Dr. Seuss!
To celebrate, we hosted our very own Dr. Seuss party last night, March 1st, in the children's room with over 50 attendees! We did indeed read Green Eggs and Ham together to start off the evening and continued the fun with face painting, crafts, coloring, and games! Party goers got to test their Dr. Seuss knowledge with a spin-the-wheel trivia game (you got a prize if you answered the question right!) as well as their sense of direction with a Pin-the-Bow-on-the-Cat-in-the-Hat game! Library friends also made their own Yertle the Turtles out of paper plates and watched the animated Cat in the Hat movie in the story room! A great time was had by all - thanks to everyone who came out and made our "Seussical" celebration a success! Be sure to check out our Flickr page for more fun photos of the party!
