Medicare A & B, and now there is "C"...

Medicare "C" - Medicare Advantage Private Health Insurance Plans... HUMANA GOLD.... NETWORK PLATINUM +.... TODAY'S OPTIONS.... SECURE HORIZONS...to name a few.

What are they?
Are they good insurance plans?
Do I need a supplement or a Medicare Advantage plan?
Can I get drug coverage with a Medicare Advantage plan?
Am I still in Medicare if I choose one of these private plans?
When and how can I sign up?
