Take this class to understand the basics of using Word to create letters, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc. Tasks presented will include opening a new document, formatting pages, printing, and, saving the file.
Spell check, cutting & pasting, inserting pictures and tables will help the student create a customized document - the sky's the limit! This class will be held in the Company E. Room.

Smith Park Pavilion (on Doty Island across from the Mem Bldg)
The Children's Dept and City of Menasha Park and Rec Dept invite children and families to a free concert with Skippy and Dave at the Smith Park pavilion. Dave weaves together song, music, ventriloquism, stories, and jokes with his friends, Skippy and Company.
Bug Scapes Mural Making
Children ages 4-10 are invited to a free Bug-scapes Mural Making Program. Participants will make a giant buggy mural using stampers and their own artistic coloring. The finished art will be hung in the Children's Dept. For detailed information, please call the Children's Dept. at 967-3670.

First Annual BrainWalk
Kids and families are invited to use their brains and their feet on our first ever Brain Walk between the Library and the Trestle Trail. The walk, sponsored by the Children's Dept and Menasha Park and Rec Dept, begins in the library parking lot.

Kids ages eight and up are invited to the DVD premiere showing of this adventure fantasy movie based on the popular Spiderwick books. The Grace siblings--Simon, Jared, and Mallory--move into their uncle's secluded old estate and notice that strange things start happening. Now it's up to them to learn the unbelievable truth about the house--and of the amazing creatures that inhabit it. This movie is rated PG for scary creature action, so those faint of heart beware!

"Pimp Your Kicks" for Tweens & Teens
Join us for some freestylin' fun and learn some cool ways to lace up your athletic or other tie shoes ("kicks"). Bring your shoes along for some hands-on fun and be the coolest kid in your class!

During Toddler Trails, your toddler will use touch to explore textures, sight to learn about shapes and colors, smell to experience pleasant and offensive odors, sound to experience various stimuli, and taste to explore foods from natural products.
Join us on Saturday, July 12th, from 10:30 am - Noon, and create your own piece of beaded jewelry. Debbie Austin from the Glass Onion Studio, Appleton, will provide a variety of beads and supplies. Get creative with beads! Workshop held in the Company E. Room, Lower Level.
(Must be registered with the Adult Summer Reading Program.) Sign up at the Reference Desk. Payment ($15.00) for bead kit must accompany registration.
