Today you need an email account to do just about everything online: reserve a hotel room, apply for a job, participate in chat or instant messaging, bid on auction items, belong to listservs and more.
Community Blood Drive
Tuesday, May 27th, 3-6 pm

The Community Blood Center will conduct a Blood Drive at the Library on Tuesday, May 27th, from 3 - 6 pm. Walk-ins are always welcome!! However, scheduling an appointment in advance helps ensure a speedy donation for all.
Call the Reference Desk at 967-3690, to reserve a time. A person never knows when he, or someone he loves, is going to need blood. It may be YOU!
Children ages three to ten are invited to join a special buggy summer reading program, "Catch the Reading Bug". Children can register June 9-June 30 for the self-paced program which runs for ten weeks (until August 15).
Cool Camps for Tweens Kids going into 4th-6th grade

Kids going into grades 4th-6th are invited to participate in weeklong "Cool Camps" throughout the summer on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 1:00-2:00. Sign-up begins Monday June 9. Kids can sign up for up to two different camps. Attendance at all three days is required.

Sign-up begins today for this summer's adult reading program. Weekly drawings for prizes include dinner and movie packages from Fox Valley Cinema and local restaurants, an autographed Packer football, or two passes to the Packer Hall of Fame. Second and third prizes will also be awarded each week.

Beginning computer users will be provided with an introduction to the Internet and all of its parts. Learn about web browsers, web sites, search engines, and all the tools you'll need to effectively access and navigate the Internet.
This class will be held in the Activity Room, Lower Level.
Are you computer illiterate? This class will teach you the very basics: turning on the computer, using the mouse, and getting started with Windows.
Hands-on experience will help ease any fears you may have regarding computers. This class is intended for those wtih little or no computer experience. Class will be held in the Activity Room.

"Microsoft Word"
Take this class to understand the basics of using Word to create letters, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc. Tasks presented will include opening a new document, formatting pages, printing, and, saving the file.
Spell check, cutting & pasting, inserting pictures and tables will help the student create a customized document - the sky's the limit! This class will be held in the Company E. Room.

Bug Lunch Bunch Picnic and Stories

Between summer school and the pool, children ages 4-10 are invited to join us on our picnic blankets and enjoy stories and read-alouds. Participants are invited to bring a bag lunch to eat while being read to at this free program. No ants and flies allowed! For additional information, contact the Children's Department at 967-3670.

Bug Scapes Mural Making
Children ages 4-10 are invited to a free Bug-scapes Mural Making Program. Participants will make a giant buggy mural using stampers and their own artistic coloring. The finished art will be hung in the Children's Dept. For detailed information, please call the Children's Dept. at 967-3670.
