You don't have to be a Wordsworth, Keats or Longfellow to enjoy and appreciate poetry. Join Ia Bolz and her fellow poets in the Fireplace Lounge as they recite their poetry and share the influence it has had on their lives. One of our events for National Library Week.

Join us at a great fair and discover not only what the Fox Cities Family Resource Center has to offer families but also what over 30 agencies in the area (including our library) has to offer you! There will be vision and hearing screening; door prizes; games and activities for children; refreshments and developmental screening for children ages 3 & 4. This free fair runs from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Children's Author Coming to Menasha!

Rick Chrustowski will do a presentation for the public as part of an Earth Day celebration at the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve.

Chrustowski, a Wisconsin author (http://www.rickchrustowski.com/), is the writer and illustrator of a number of science picture books for children. He uses dramatic close-ups to give children a memorable look into the life cycle of creatures common to our area. His books, written for children ages 4-8, are well reviewed and found in libraries, schools and bookstores throughout the country. Children can explore many literacies - nature, ecology and reading - just by turning the colorful pages and engaging in Mr. Chrustowksi's wonderful writing style

Meet author and historian Joseph Amato who will be discussing his latest book, Jacob's Well: A Case for Rethinking Family History. Amato researched his "poor, obscure" family over seven generations, including people who lived right here in the Fox Valley. He demonstrates how this personal history, and the personal history of others, connects everybody to the larger story of our nation.

Take this class to understand the basics of using Word to create letters, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc. Tasks presented will include opening a new document, formatting pages, printing, and, saving the file.
