Children's Author Coming to Menasha!
Rick Chrustowski will do a presentation for the public as part of an Earth Day celebration at the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve. Chrustowski, a Wisconsin author (http://www.rickchrustowski.com/), is the writer and illustrator of a number of science picture books for children. He uses dramatic close-ups to give children a memorable look into the life cycle of creatures common to our area. His books, written for children ages 4-8, are well reviewed and found in libraries, schools and bookstores throughout the country. Children can explore many literacies - nature, ecology and reading - just by turning the colorful pages and engaging in Mr. Chrustowksi's wonderful writing style | ||

Meet author and historian Joseph Amato who will be discussing his latest book, Jacob's Well: A Case for Rethinking Family History. Amato researched his "poor, obscure" family over seven generations, including people who lived right here in the Fox Valley.
