Take this class to understand the basics of using Word to create letters, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc.  Tasks presented will include opening a new document, formatting pages, printing, and, saving the file.

Spell check, cutting & pasting, inserting pictures and tables will help the student create a customized document - the sky's the limit!  This class will be held in the Company E. Room.

Beginning computer users will be provided with an introduction to the Internet and all of its parts. Learn about web browsers, web sites, search engines, and all the tools you'll need to effectively access and navigate the Internet.

This class will be held in the Activity Room, Lower Level.

Today you need an email account to do just about everything online: reserve a hotel room, apply for a job, participate in chat or instant messaging, bid on auction items, belong to listservs and more.

In this class you will learn how to sign up for a free e-mail account, how to compose messages, send mail, and "reply" to and "forward" messages. We'll talk about folders, storage, attachments and some of the precautions everyone needs to know when communicating electronically.

Book-Venture! Story and Workshop

A free eight-week afterschool workshop and stories series that is perfect for children ages 4-7. Stories, songs, crafts, science, art, and fun based on books are all part of this forty minute weekly event. No registration is required.

After School "Tween" Special

Emma Roberts stars as Nancy Drew, a teenage super-sleuth trying to fit in at Hollywood High after moving from her small hometown. After promising her worried father that she would put her sleuthing aside, Nancy stumbles across a series of clues in the case of a beautiful Hollywood movie star who perished years ago under particularly mysterious circumstances.

Spring Break - Geronimo Stilton Party

Children in grades 2-5  are invited to a spring break book party featuring favorite children's book character Geronimo Stilton. Games, crafts, and activities based on the antics of the mouse will be featured along with samples of some favorite cheeses and a few crumbs of dessert. There is no registration for this free event. St. Patrick's Day Celebration

Join us on Monday, March 17th, for a real St. Paddy's Day celebration. Druids Table, a local traditional Irish music group, will perform jigs, reels, hornpipes, airs and more from the "Oulde Sod."

Spring Break - Chet Gecko Party

Children in grades 2-5 are invited to a spring break book party featuring children's book detective Chet Gecko. Children will celebrate Bruce Hale's mystery series with games, activities and snacks. Teens and Tweens Electronics Gaming Party

Teens in Grades 4-8 are invited to a free Electronics/Gaming Party. High school students from the gaming club at Menasha High School will bring in their games, such as Guitar Hero, Mario, Tetris, and others, to help younger kids learn to play them. There will also be board games such as Clue, Life, and Monopoly. Teens are invited to bring Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh cards for trading before the electronic games session. No registration necessary for this free event.

Medicare Workshop - Menasha Public Library

"What to do when I, or my spouse, must move to a
Nursing Home"...

This program will discuss the financial implications of moving into a nursing home, what to do with your home, spousal impoverishment, and Medical Assistance Eligibility. Presented by Candace Corbett, Winnebago County Benefit Specialist.

"Community Blood Drive"
The Community Blood Center will conduct a Blood Drive at the Library on Monday, March 31, from 3 - 6 pm. Walk-ins are always welcome!! However, scheduling an appointment in advance helps ensure a speedy donation for all.

Call the Reference Desk at 967-3690, to reserve a time. A person never knows when he, or someone he loves, is going to need blood. It may be YOU!

Baby Stay and Play

The storytimes will be presented Tuesday evenings and will feature twenty minutes of sweet stories, rollicking rhymes, and merry music. After the storytimes, parents and babies are invited to stay for playtime and pizza. To register or for additional information, contact the Children's Department at 967-3670.

Registration for Papermaker's Party for Tweens in Grades4-6 begins

Do you have a creative bent? Have you ever wondered how paper is made? Want to try to make your very own paper? Young artists can go home with their own unique creation when they attend the papermaking session taught by De Dalum in our lower level activity room.
