With the digital age many people turn to Wikipedia or Google to find their information. Not everything on the World Wide Web is true or trustworthy, especially when papers are due. The library owns hundreds of great books to assist students while writing papers. But sometimes it's not easy to get to the library, find the books, checkout the books and read the books. Other times when writing papers, you want the students to find primary sources. Primary sources are going back the beginning - the beginning of an event, a speech, a time in history.
We added a new book to our potty training section! The potty section is located under P/T 649 P. Our new book is Potty Animals: What to Know When You've Gotta Go! by Hope Vestergaard illustrated by Valeria Patrone. Know any kids who are afraid to flush? Or maybe a few with really bad aim? Wish you could help them remember to not drink too much water before naptime?
We know you value the services and resources provided by the Menasha Public Library, but just how much are those services worth? How much would you pay out-of-pocket if the library didn't exist, or if these services and resources weren't available at no cost?
School might be out for the summer, but next year is just around the corner. Summer is a time for relaxation, reflection and planning. Are you looking for read alouds to share with your class? In the Children's Room, stop by the Info Desk and ask the librarians about their favorite reads. We also own a helpful bibliography binder for Preschool aged students and School aged students. Each binder is filled with great books to include in your school library, book recommendations and read alouds.
