It's over, everyone! I hope you had a fantastic week of reading.
I would have liked to post more information about the challenge, during the challenge, but with limited internet access it is difficult.
I finished the challenge with a total of 16.75 hours - 15.5 spent reading and .75 blogging/connecting with others.
I completed a total of four entire books:
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
Mars. v. 1 by Fuyumi Soryo
A Pearl Among Princes by oleen Murtagh Paratore
Why Don't Your Eyelashes Grow? by Beth Ann Ditkoff, MD
I've tracked a total of rougly 8 hours complete. Not a big contender this year, just enjoying my time around books and book on tape.
I finished a lovely book last night - A Pearl Amoung Princes by Coleen Murtagh Paratore. Princes intrigue me and I picked it up because it looked like J-Fiction and not YA. But it is very apporpriate YA and not Juvenile Fiction. It's a light romance for everyone who loves a good princess and prince story. The author also included bits of classic nursery rhymes which I thought was delightful.
It's a great day to read! What books are you reading today?
I've been taking my time to read and enjoy this year's 48-Hour Book Challenge. I've been reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and The Prophet of Yonwood by Jeanne DuPrau. I've also been enjoying Why Don't Your Eyelashes Grow? by Beth Ann Ditkoff, M.D. It's a been fun and I'm looking forward to finishing these and starting many others.
It's the 48-Hour Book Challenge sponsored by MotherReader! Get your books and start reading! It's going to be a blast! Let me know what you're reading. I would love to hear about your top reading picks. Good luck and happy reading (or listening)!
My friend Miss Ann is leaving! She will be missed, but we wish her good luck and good times at her new position.
In honor of Miss Ann and her new journey at the Kimberly Little Chute Public Library, here are some Pippi's Printing Picks that are her favorite books...
