Clear your schedule, stock up on snacks, find your comfy chair and prepare to read for the next 48 hours. It's the 48 Hour Book Challenge from MotherReader.com. What is the 48 Hour Book Challenge? The 48 Hour Book Challenge is your chance to read a lot! It's a chance to read books that you've put off reading until today. It's a lot of fun! Some of the rules include...books must be 5th grade level or higher. Read for the most hours, but don't harm yourself. You must post a review of the books read.
Summer is my favorite time of year because it's the season of Summer Reading Programs! You can find reading programs at the library, at school, online and even bookstores! It's a great time of year. This weekend kicks off my summer reading marathon. I'll be posting all summer about the books I read.
One of this year's reading adventures....
Another Friday and another list of great reads!
Summer reading programs are just around the corner and are you ready to read? I have begun the search for books and tend to stack them all over my room, my desk, my car... It's always good to be prepared! The first reading adventure of the summer is the 48-Hour Reading Challenge sponsored by MotherReader. My weekend is cleared and I have set aside over 50 books to read. I am revisiting classics, rereading favorites and reviewing the new.
It's summertime at the Menasha Public Library! We pulled our summer books and started our summer hours. What new hours!? Yes, new hours! We'll be open the usual hours from Monday to Friday, but we'll be open 9am to 1pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. The Summer Reading Program also begins next month. We're so excited! We'll be getting creative @ our library all summer long. Sign up in the Children's Room begins June 8th.
To kick off your own summer reading, here are a couple summer reading suggestions...
