We finished our garden storytime with reading about rascals! Many creatures visit the garden including rabbits, bugs and people. We sang about Little Peter Rabbit and Bumblebees. Oh what fun it is to learn about gardens! Checkout some more great garden books by coming into the Children's Room at the Menasha Public Library. We have a special display in the back about gardens!

Yesterday, we started our three-week Let's Grow Garden Stories Storytime at the library! It was an exciting day for stories, songs and garden fun. We wiggled like worms and danced like birds - creatures you can find in a garden. We also heard a story about Planting a Rainbow.

Last month, author Virginia Lee Burton celebrated her 100th birthday! She passed away in 1968, but her books live on as classics for children around the world. I have spent many days poring over the beautiful illustrations and fun layouts in each of her books. Come in to the library and pick up one of her books today!
