St. Valentine's Day is Friday! Last Friday, I had the opportunity to share Valentine stories at a local preschool. We had so much fun sharing books about love and kisses. We read books about people and animals including mice, giraffes, and panda bears. Between stories, we sang some songs and wiggled our fingers during fingerplays. You can host your own Valentine story time at home with books and fingerplays! Stop by the library for some Valentine books. They are currently on display in the back of the Children's Room.
The library's Tuesday morning story time session began today! Our first theme we explored was Winter's frost and frozen elements. We danced to some great freeze songs, including one about musical instruments!
Another month is here and another great visit with friends at Clovis Grove's After School Matters. We enjoyed a wide range of books from Pete the Cat to Owls and Hueys. Here are some of our favorite reads today...
Tuesday was our final Fall Family Story Time in the eight-week series. We talked about sweet stories which included gumdrops, cookies, and cake. We also shared songs about sweet food like watermelon, papaya, bananas, and fruitsalad. It was a great way to wrap-up this semester's stories.
One of our story time librarians was on vacation this week, so there were two different story time sessions to lead this week. Monday night focused on Fall leaves and Tuesday morning introduced aprons! It was a great week in the Children's Room.
