If we walk outside, road signs can be rectangles, triangles, squares or octagons. Looking up we can see stars and a crescent. Looking down we can see swirling shells and curly tails. Inside or out, left or right - shapes surround us!
We read about, danced about and sang about colors in storytime today. Sheepie came for another visit to sing "Mary had a little lamb whose fleece was white as snow." We also found out about activities with different colored sheep. Did you know an orange sheep looks like a fruit and likes to play the flute?
Learning your letters is only the beginning! Letters turn into words, words turn into sentences and sentences turn into stories. A whole new world opens up right before your eyes!
We celebrated the alphabet in storytime today. Two special visitors came to our story hour - Sheepy and Silly Sammy. Sheepy loves to sing and Silly Sammy loves to eat. Sheepy shared our beginning and end song and Sammy ate the alphabet! Eating the alphabet doesn't mean you can read. You learn by using your other senses, not by taste.
