The month of March is known for coming in like a Lion or coming in like a Lamb. The weather on Tuesday was like a lamb, but we still celebrated the lively lion! We began our storytime by talking about real lions you can find at the zoo. A zoo is a safe place to watch giant cats. We also talked about places where different animals live in the world.
Today at storytime we talked about stripes! You can wear stripes on your socks, your shirt or your pants. You can see stripes and patterns all over nature. Can you name some animals with stripes? We talked about zebras, tigers and a flamingo named Sylvie. Some stripes are silly while other stripes are serious. One of our serious and honored stripes are those found on our Grand Old Flag. Our flag has white and red stripes in honor of the first thirteen colonies. The flag also has a pattern of fifty stars for each of the states in America.
Today's storytime theme revolved around spots and dots! Are you wearing spots or dots today? Yes? Congratulations! NO? Quick! Get your circle stickers! Now, you can enjoy a full day of spots and dots. The authors we enjoyed today were Sarah C.
