This week it was a walk through the chapter books to find some interesting looking titles. The following books are located on the paperback spinner racks and in aisle two in the Children's Room. The books with the yellow dots are the first book in a series. The books with the teal dots are standalond titles that are not part of a series. Happy reading, friends!
During the months of June and July, the library is running a special Family Story Time program called Story Sparklers! Our first story time happened on Monday, June 9. Our Fizz Boom Read theme for the day was WEATHER. We shared some great books and sang a song about weather and danced like ducks in rain! If you are interested in weather books, check out the 551's in Non-Fiction.
Winter sports are so much fun! Now is the perfect time to take part. What can you do in the snow? Here are some sporty suggestions...go sledding, go skiing, go skating, go ice fishing. That's just to name a few cold weather activities. Our story time books covered a wide variety of Winter fun.
St. Valentine's Day is Friday! Last Friday, I had the opportunity to share Valentine stories at a local preschool. We had so much fun sharing books about love and kisses. We read books about people and animals including mice, giraffes, and panda bears. Between stories, we sang some songs and wiggled our fingers during fingerplays. You can host your own Valentine story time at home with books and fingerplays! Stop by the library for some Valentine books. They are currently on display in the back of the Children's Room.
