On each continent in our world, people are eating food. They eat different food, because of the climate and location. Also different fruits and vegetables and grains grow in different parts of the world. We may be very different, but we enjoy many of the same foods, too. Bread is one of the world's favorite foods to eat. It comes in many forms.
Celebrate our summer theme: One World, Many Stories! We celebrated the theme with Friends & Neighbors during storytime on Monday. Our first book for storytime was inspired with words of wisdom from our beloved neighbor: Fred Rogers.
One World, Many Stories Story Sparklers kicked-off today with stories and songs about houses and homes. We discovered animals and people have all different kinds of homes. Animals live in nests and shells to name a couple. People build their homes about of wood, straw, bricks, mud and so much more!
Last Wedesnday was the final After School Matters visit to friends at Clovis Grove. School is wrapping up and the summer reading program (One World, Many Stories) begins in less than a month!
