During storytime on Monday, we learned about objects that were shiny. July 4th showcases many shiny objects including fireworks! We talked about how to identify objects that are shiny or things that shine like the sun or gold and silver.
Our Story Sparklers Family Storytime theme this week was camping! We read about ducks and dogs who went on a camping trip. The animals also went fishing and didn't catch a fish to keep. Afterwards we pretended to be fish and swim around the storyroom! What a fantastic day to be at storytime. Next week, Miss Liz will share stories on Monday at 10am. We hope to see you there!
On Monday, we hosted our first Story Sparklers Family Storytime session! We focused on nocturnal animals, particularly the raccoon. The raccoon sleeps during the day and hunts for food during the night. Did you know that raccoons wash their food before they eat it? Pretty cool!
Preschool Planters and Let's Grow Garden Stories: Goin' Buggy is official over this month. We had a wonderful time sharing buggy stories and learning about different insects that crawl, buzz, and zoom around the garden. During the last week of Goin' Buggy, we shared stories and songs about bugs that fly. After storytime, we made our own recycled bugs from plastic pipes, pipe cleaners, and stickers.
