Another holiday is coming this weekend. It's St. Patrick's Day! We celebrated rainbows in honor of St. Paddy's Day. We even had a leprechaun visit during storytime. He brought a magic hat! We also had a magic pot in the storyroom. When we put in different colored fruit, we got strange colored noodles.
Soup is a great way to warm up on a cold day. We celebrated soup last Tuesday at storytime. Following the snowmen storytime, it's reminiscent of an old Campbell's commerical about a snowman eating soup and revealing a child underneath.
Menasha's After School Matters is a great program for students. The library enjoys visiting and sharing new books with them. Last Wednesday, Miss Pippi went out to share new books with friends at Clovis Grove. Here's a list of new books available in the Children's Room. Happy reading!
Happy Leap Day, Library Friends! This special day only happens once every four years. Do you know someone who was born on Leap Day? They are younger than most people today, because they only get a birthday day every four years. Okay! The families choose February 28th or March 1st for the birth certificate, but it seems like their true birth date is magic.
