In the cool months of Winter, it's fun to take a moment and wrap up in a warm blanket. Snow might be chilly, but it is also considered a blanket. It is a winter blanket for the earth. It protects ground and waters it as it melts in the Spring. Indoor blankets do not melt away. They might get lost once in a while and we need to go find them. Or they can be a great prop for stories and adventures!
Old MacDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o! And on that farm he had a .... horse, e-i-e-i-o! With a neigh, neigh here and a neigh, neigh there, here a neigh, there a neigh, everwhere a neigh, neigh. Old MacDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o!
Snow is falling, snow is falling ... all around, on the ground! It's time to celebrate the color white because we have so much snow around us this winter. We enjoyed songs about snow and books about snow, clouds, and food. We even had a special visitor from the arctic - a polar bear!
This week we started our eight-week story time session. Miss Liz shares stories on Monday at 10am and 6:30pm. Miss Pippi will be sharing stories on Tuesday at 10am. Today in story time we celebrated pancakes! We learned the ASL sign for pancakes and waffles. We danced to a song about shapes between reading pancake books.
