Hello library friends! We had another Monday full of stories, songs and rhymes with our friend Dewey here in the Children's Room! This week, we read all about hunting for nuts, the best way to gather acorns and then forget where you hid those acorns, and even how to rescue your little brother from the mighty autumn wind! We sang about leaves that change their color and even played a guessing game with fall-related things like a rake, pumpkin, and a squirrell! Tonight was the second session of baby stay and play here in the Children's Room! Babies from birth to 24 months and their caregivers joined me, Miss Liz, in the story room for rhymes, songs, and stories! We got to sing about swimming fishies, the cat and the fiddle in our Mother Goose rhyme, we picked some apples from the apple tree and got to practice lots of clapping! It's a new week library friends, and that means I have an exciting story time update for you! This week we spent our story time reading bedtime stories, but they didn't make us sleepy, oh no! We read about a LOUD snoring dog, a mischievious circus monkey, and found out how dinosaurs say goodnight! Not only did we read bedtime stories, but we sang some silly songs like Ten in a Bed and even a song about mommies jumping on the bed!
