On Friday, the Children's Room invited the City of Menasha Public Works Department to the parking lot. Our helpful friends shared with us their big machines they use around the city. Our young friends had the opportunity to sit truck cabs, honk horns and man the controls (with help, of course). With the sun beaming bright, it was a beautiful day to be outside at the library. A big thanks to our friends at the Public Works!!
April is National Poetry Month! On Tuesday night, 55 people attended our annual Poetry Fest, where 19 honored poets read their poems. They each received a pencil, certificate, and paperback book. Then we enjoyed a cookie reception! Check out all the fun on our Flickr page.
You can host your own Poetry Fest by sharing personal poetry or by reading someone else's. Check out the 811's in Non-Fiction for poetry inspiration. We can't wait to see you at the library!
