Yesterday afternoon was another great afternoon to be at the library! We welcomed Mike Schnieder and his Pint Size Polka program back to the library for some fun music, dancing, and even a little bit of learning!
Rain, rain go away! Organizations and families didn't stay away for our Annual Brain Walk event! Instead of our usual walk from the library to the Trestle Trail, we held the event indoors at the library. It was a full house of fun! Families started in the entry way, jumped to the Children's Room, hopped upstairs and shot down the elevator in our spacious meeting rooms on the lower level.
Kids and families are invited to use their brains and their feet on our Annual Brain Walk between the Library and the Trestle Trail. Come on over to the library on Tuesday, June 21st. Start times for the course begin between 6-7pm. Our special event will be held whether it is sunny or rainy and we'd love to see you!
Yesterday we celebrated week number 2 of our summer reading program with a concert from Randy Peterson! We travelled the world over with songs from Australia, Egypt, and even an African band (which included some help from the audience)! We had around 200 library friends clapping and dancing along to Randy's music in the Compay E room - what a fun afternoon! If you missed the concert yesterday, we have several of Randy Peterson's CDs available to check out right here in the Children's Room! Check out the library's Flickr page
Hey there library friends! Summer is finally here! Have you signed up for the summer reading program yet? If not, head on over to the Menasha Library Children's Room to get signed up and start some great summer reading!
We kicked off our summer program with juggler and storyteller extraordinare Bob Kann! He shared stories from around the world as well as his amazing juggling tricks! A great time was had by all.
