How did we celebrate National Library Week and Fox Cities Book Fest? Author and illustrator Nancy Carlson spoke to 350 third graders at the library on Tuesday morning. Nancy’s books have been picked for Reading Rainbow selections and she is the recipient of a Parent’s Choice Award. We enjoyed Nancy’s visit and her great books and drawings!

Drop Everything And Read is a yearly event celebrated on Beverly Cleary's birthday. We put together a special storytime session to celebrate! We didn't have enough time to read a beloved Beverly Cleary book, so we read some of our other favorite authors including Mo Willems and Jan Thomas.

Pinkalicious Party!

We ended our Spring Break Spree with a Pinkalicious Party! What pink-tabulous time! We began our party by reading the original Pinkalicious book and Pink Around the Rink. We also danced to the Pinky Dance by Mr. Al. After our stories together, everyone branched out to build bracelets, make wands, play cupcake games and enter drawings for fabulous Pinkalicious prizes.
